Vincent Valentine - opposites attract

A/N:  the last sequel to can you break a heart that isn't beating, expect some fluffy goodness. Final Fantasy does not belong to me, only Luna and the plot.

Summary : Days passed as Luna sat quietly around the mansion awaiting Vincents return. Yet as the sun rises and sets each day, there was no sign of him. That however is until she makes up her mind to search for him and bring him home.

* * *

Luna had lost track of how long she sat waiting for him to come back. Hours had turned to days, days to weeks. She sighed out as she looked out the front door. The weather was terrible, the rain lashing at the mansion in torrents. The cold breeze sending a chill through her bones as she pouted slightly.

'Where are you Vinny... where are you hiding?' She mused to herself as she walked through the mansion once more, back to his room where she glanced around until a small chest hidden under his bed caught her attention.

Luna was not one who would miss small things that were out of place. The shadow it cast gave it away as she nimbly pulled it out. It was held closed by a simple latch which she flicked open. Her finger tips danced gently over some of the items and photographs it contained. A folder right at the bottom was what caught her attention. Picking it up she flipped it open, eyes widening at the familiar writing that covered the pages.

As she read through the contents she felt her heart stop. 'He... He is just like me, my polar opposite, she saved him with her research. Told him everything that had happened to him... He knew what he was all along.' She spoke softly as she flung the folder on his bed and sprinted out his room.

In her room she grabbed a trench coat and slipped on her boots, ignoring her flimsy dress she wore underneath. She ran head on into the storm, her long hair sticking to her pale skin as the rain lashed at her. It stung her skin, pricking like needle stabs , blinded her. She ran straight to the one place she knew she would find him, the one place he had taken her not so long ago.

Luna ran faster, tripping over her feet as she did. Her coat was drenched and heavy, her dress clinging to her form and her boots sloshed through the mud. She wasn't sure how long she had run for, yet she was grateful when she finally saw the cave.

Silently she entered the cave walking around until she found the crystal that held her sister. She looked around carefully feeling her heart drop more and more with each passing second.  She walked around until she saw a familiar boot. Her heart stopped. "Vincent?" She breathed out as she rushed to him.

She watched as his eyes widened when he saw her. Yet soon after her vision blurred as tears fell freely down her cheeks. "Vincent!" She spoke, her voice more certain as she fell down next to him hugging tightly.

"Don't ever leave me like that, please. I was so worried about you when you didn't return. I... I found the folder Lucrecia left for you, I am so sorry about what she did, but my sister would never just let someone she cared for fade away if she knew she could stop it. And I'm the same... I don't want you to fade away, I want you by me." Her voice cracked as she looked up at him.

"Do you really mean what you say?" He looked at her, his arm around her, holding her gently as he tried to cover her with his cloak as best as he could.

She nodded. "I am your polar opposite. I never wanted to be the way I am, but I am grateful for it, because it gave me the opportunity to meet you." She gave him a smile that seemed to melt him.

Vincent pulled her closer, resting his head against hers as for the first time he felt truly content. "If it is your wish, I will never leave your side." His voice was low as he hugged her to him protectively. " if it is your wish, I will protect you with all that I am." He smiled a small smile down at her, "because I love you."

Luna felt her heart beat rapidly in her chest as she smiled, the feeling of joy over whelmed her as she kissed Vincent trying to convey all her emotions to him. " And I love you, so very much." She whispered against his lips.

* * *
~Extended ending~

Luna lay comfortably against the warm chest of her husband as he spoke softly of his time as a Turk. She chuckled as he told her about her sister and about his own parents. She smiled and laughed softly as she listened to everything he told her. She curled up and gently kissed his shoulder as he nuzzled her hair affectionately.

"Still I cannot believe how lucky I am to have someone like you by my side." He smiled gently when Luna looked up at him and kissed him.

"I couldn't agree more with you, my love."

Vincent Valentine- Can a heart still break when it isn't beating?

A/N: this is the sequel to the truth will set you free! I do not own Final Fantasy or Vincent Valentine,  but I do own the plot and Luna.

Summary : Luna has to face something new she never thought would ever happen. When she starts falling deeply in love with the man who once loved her sister. Living in the same home as him doesn't make things on her heart any easier when she constantly sees the man who has finally just accepted her presence.

* * *

It had been over a year since she had come into his life. Over a year since that fateful day when he met Luna. Vincent was sitting in his room staring out the window, deep in thought. He listened carefully as he heard Luna humming in the kitchen.

Over all Luna had taken it upon herself to fix the mansion and to Vincents' surprise she had done quite a good job. The floor and roof had been the most difficult to fix, but they had found methods which helped the building retain its abandoned appeal. She had gone as far to set up a room of his own for him.

He had noticed her night terrors were also much less as she managed to sleep peacefully most nights. They had both grown much closer, and unbeknownst to Vincent, his own feelings had grown for the young woman.

Luna had been debating with herself for weeks over what to do in her current situation. She was madly in love with Vincent, yet she was afraid to let him know how she felt. She was so afraid he would just run and leave her. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she made her way upstairs to his room.

She knocked on his door, "Vincent, dinner is ready." She cooed softly before turning and walking back to the kitchen. A few moments passed as she sat down and he walked into the kitchen.

"It smells very good." He commented as he sat down across from Luna.

She smiled, a small, light blush dusting her cheeks as she looked down at her plate. "Hmm, I'm glad." She smiled brightly before slowly tucking in to her meal.

Vincent noticed the wine on the table and looked at the small female who had poured some for both of them. He instantly noticed it as one she had found in the basement and wondered if it would even be okay to drink. "This?" He pointed to the bottle on the table.

Luna smiled. "Uh... well I found a lot of it in the basement and so I did check if it was okay and besides been a little strong it's drinkable." A light blush again dusted her cheeks as she took a sip of hers. It had seemed her previous sentence was a bit of an understatement about the strength of the wine itself.

Once they had finished eating they cleaned the kitchen occasionally chatting about small things and other things they wanted to do when they found them self's pretty close.

Luna had tried to pack away a glass and it had slipped out of her grasp as she barely managed to push it's base onto the shelf, when it tipped and fell towards her head. Vincent seeing this had rushed over to her but in the process of catching the glass not realised his body was pressed flush against Luna whose face went blood red.

It was when they both glanced at one and other that Luna found herself drawn to the man. She couldn't stop staring at him. Her hands gently touched his cheeks and hair, ghosting down to his shoulders, like he was going to disappear. For the first time in years she felt a stinging pain in her chest when she had moved to try and kiss him but he stopped her still staring down at her.

Vincent watched as she stared up at him in confusion, tears brimming up in her eyes. Her touch made his skin almost burn and she had wanted to kiss him. He was confused as to why such a beautiful, kind person would want to do that to him, but he was a man after all and soon found himself leaning down, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.

Luna stared up at him, eyes wide, "V - Vincent?" Her soft voice washed over him as he watched her fingers brush over her lips gently.

"Why have you got such an interest in a person like me?"  He asked, his voice calm and quiet as he watched her every move.

Luna struggled with herself before swallowing the lump in her throat. "I... I.... I have fallen for y - you. And if you don't feel the same I can f - fully understand." She rushed out as she looked down at his shoes.

Vincent however stood shocked into silence at what the young woman had just told him. He had so many questions swimming through his mind when he looked down at her that he did the one thing he knew best and disappeared.

Luna stood in the kitchen still eyes wide, staring at the spot he had been in, tears streaming down her face as she slid down against the cupboard pulling her knees to her chest as she cried silently. She had scared him away she kept mulling over the thought as she looked up at the clock on her wall.

Hours had past and Luna was sitting on his bed staring out his window, her tears had long since dried up but her chest still ached. " I guess a heart can still break even if it isn't beating." The words slipped past her lips bitterly as she hiccuped softly from crying.

Vincent had found himself in the one place he hadn't gone to in years before he met Luna. Before him was the crystal that held his beloved Lucrecia. He was bitter and angry as he stood before her. "What was I thinking staying near your sister all this time... She makes me feel... She makes me feel like I did when I loved you." His voice cracked as he stared at the unchanging woman.

" She told me that she has fallen for me, but I'm doomed to be alone forever , my chaos side is a monstrosity, why did you save me, when all it did was put me through more pain having to accept something I don't want." His voice dropped to a mere whisper as he sat down and stared at Lucrecia in silence.

"How can a girl be so kind and understanding when she went through the same thing." He mumbled as he thought about Luna. She was always smiling. Always energetic. He had read through her box she had found over the nights when she had fallen asleep, she was just like him, dying when she was saved by that crazy professor who ruined his life. She had been a test subject long before him, though she was a bit younger than he was. She knew the loneliness he had endured yet he pushed her away.

The one person that truly understood his feelings and what he had been through, he has without thought, even after knowing what he did, pushed her away. Vincent felt his heart drop. So he sat, in that cave hoping that Luna would just forget about him and move on with her life,  after all she had time on her side.

Vincent Valentine - The truth will set you free

A/N: sequel to not always Pleasant, I do not own Final Fantasy and I don't own Vincent Valentine, I do own Luna and the plot.

Summary: Luna starts to realise she isn't exactly normal as she starts to find out about herself, after finally seeing her sister and been taken to the destroyed laboratory her sister once worked in how will she handle the truth?

* * *

Luna stood impatiently as she waited for Vincent, she had woken up extra early, prepared lunches and packed her back pack with everything they might need. She had waited the whole of winter until he would finally make a move and take her to the ruined laboratory.

She had endlessly worked on persuading him and after all it was true when one only looked for clues about themselves it would be the only thing you find, anything else you would naturally dismiss. That bit of logic had seemed to sway the silent man into finally choosing a day to take her. Though he had originally offered he had always seemed very hesitant.

Today was the day Luna would find out about herself, she could feel it as she stared into the mansion looking for a sign of Vincent.

She released a small sigh jumping when she turned to find him in front of her, "How the heck did you get there without even making a sound? " She mused after slinging her back pack over her shoulder and locking up the front door.

Vincent gave her a small smile and shrugged, " I guess it comes naturally, you do it for so long you don't even realise it after some time."  He glanced down at her to find her smiling brightly up at him.

"You know since I met you that's probably the most you have ever said to me in one sentence, it's nice I like your voice." She said cheerfully, though inside she wanted to face palm for sating her thoughts out loud.

Luna hated the fact that over the last few months with the man she had started developing deeper feelings for him.  It had started off innocently with her growing fond of him. If he went to do something she'd be happy to see when he got home safely. She was also glad for the fact that he now ate regular meals, though small she always made sure they were very nutritional.

She had found herself blushing when he would smile at her, or even when she woke up from a night terror she would find herself blushing when he would comfort her. Luna had no idea what had changed, maybe her nigh terrors got worse, maybe she screamed and cried in her sleep, she would never know. All she did know was that one night she woke up with him holding her like she was made from glass. Luna figured that was when it all started.

The craving for human touch, the want almost indescribable need to be near to the man. Yes she had always thought he was good looking just by the photograph she had of him, yet when she managed to get a good look at him she noticed the picture did him no justice at all, she found him extremely attractive.

Luna walked beside him humming softly to herself completely unaware of how he would occasionally glance down at her. Sometimes she reminded him quite a bit of Yuffie, but she was still far to much of a lady though the way she dressed was sometimes questionable.

This particular spring day Vincent noticed she had chosen to wear a button up cotton shirt with a bikini top underneath it and pale blue shorts which exposed a lot of her legs, along with a pair of odd styled boots that seemed to compliment the outfit. She was stirring up strange feelings inside of him and it bothered him even more when he caught himself staring at her.

Luna had no idea how long she and Vincent had been walking for but it wasn't much longer and they where in front of the cave where her sister was. She glanced up at Vincent who gave a  small nod and lead her inside.

Luna stared in wonder at the crystals before she looked at the one that held the body of her sister. Tears rolled down the girls pale cheeks as she laid a hand against the crystal. "Oh my... my dearest sister, why did you do this to yourself." She spoke softly.

"After all these years I finally found you, I kept your journal safe and sound, reading it made me feel like you were always right by my side. I really miss you so much." She whimpered as she bit back a sob.

Luna could not believe she was seen her sister. Very thing felt so surreal in the cave. Slowly she moved the back pack pulling out some white roses and putting them near the materia that held her sister.

"I promise I will come visit you any time I can so that I can tell you everything that has happened, so we can catch up and talk like we did before you left, I love you my dear sister." She whispered before turning to face Vincent who looked to the side silently.

Once outside the cave Vincent started leading the way the the laboratory hoping to himself that the girl would find some information on herself. She walked beside him quietly before her voice broke the silence.

"I know I always say this, but thank you Vincent, for everything today so far, it means so much to me that you took me to see my sister."

He looked down at her, noticing that she wasn't looking up at him, she was focused on the ground in front of her, chewing nervously on her bottom lip.

It didn't take the two long to reach their destination and soon time was lost as they went through what was left that nature hadn't yet destroyed.  Luna was sitting at the desk rummaging through stacks of faded, yellowed papers when a box in a dark corner caught her attention. Glancing at Vincent she dashed over to it and picked it up before dusting it off.

On the box was a neat yet faded label which Luna could barely read, lifting the lid she sighed when she found the contents were a bit dusty but preserved. She pulled out the first manilla folder and read over the contents of the various pages.

'SPECIMEN NUMBER 01274 - MISS L CRESCENT'

Luna felt her blood run cold, specimen? Surely she had read the label wrong, yet as she continued she found she was reading perfectly fine.

'Research subject - Omega cell transferral
Specimen number - 01274

Name - Luna Crescent
D.o.B - 12 January

General - subject suffered heart failure, blood group rare, prevented possible heart donor from been found. Parents not notified of removal to laboratory, cadaver ordered to replace subject, family informed that daughter passed.'

Luna felt anger swell up in her chest as she closed the folder. Placing it to the side she opened the next one, a rage building up inside of her.

It held notes made by a professor about her daily progress which made her stomach churn.

'Day one

Subject is non responsive to Mako,  though her heart is still beating, it is slow and weak.  Subject will be submitted to Jenova cells if she does not respond to having more Mako cells introduced into her system.'

She kept flipping the pages as she took in all the information.

Day Seventy - three

Test subject showed no response to Mako, heart beat started slowing, test subject introduced to Jenova cells.

Day eighty

Subjects heart beat has strengthened drastically but the form of the organ is frail, if it fails subject will be submitted to Omega cells to keep her alive, tests will be run to conclude final results before decision is made to follow through or not.'

At the bottom of most pages to close off each entry was a signature by a Professor Hojo. Luna grit her teeth as she continued flipping through various folders recording her progress until a page stood out to her.

' Day one hundred and three

Test subjects heart has failed but her body has drastically strengthened, Omega cells will be introduced immediately to save test subject.

Omega cells were transferred to the host and have been accepted by the hosts body, the deterioration of the hosts organs has stopped and as such it would seem that the host is immortal, host however has not yet awoken.'

She continued to read through graphs and various other files until it was made clear that she was no longer human, unable to die no matter what she did. Her awakening was also recorded and how after a week of constant tests she broke free and fled from the facility. How her own father had made sure the research was funded even after his passing. Her mother though had never known of what he was doing.

Luna looked up at Vincent with the box in her arms and then looked to the ground,  " hey I found what I was looking for... guess they right when they say the truth will set you free." She gave a sad smile as they left the facility to head home.

Vincent looked over at her curiously before his eyes landed on the box. That would answer all his very own questions he had about the young woman walking beside him....

Vincent Valentine - it ain't always Pleasant (sequel to Her Sorrowful Past)

A/N: this is the sequel to Her Sorrowful Past, I don't own Final Fantasy, but I do own the plot and Luna.

Summary: How would she get him to trust her without scaring him away. She was practically a stranger to him with only a past that linked her to him. After a month of living in Nibelheim with a man she only ran into by chance, how hard would she have to keep trying before one of them eventually cracked?

* * *

It had been exactly a month since Vincent and Luna had fatefully met in the basement of the Shinra mansion. The young female had rightfully made herself at home in one of the rooms without a single word.

Vincent had practically done his best to avoid Luna, yet often found himself coming to her aid when she would wake up a tearful, mumbling mess, disorientated and shaky from a night terror. This night in particular was one of those nights where he found himself watching her from the shadows as she tossed and turned restlessly in her bed.

' a young girl ran through a beautiful garden in the late spring breeze, laughter filling the air as her older sister playfully chased her. Turning around though she found herself alone, only her sisters laugh remained, haunting her as she searched desperately for the missing young female.

She blinked again waking up to the sound of a beeping monitor, an IV in her arm and a pipe down her throat helping her breath. Next to her, her parents sat looking depressed, her mother in tears as her father tried his best to console her.

Luna tried desperately to let them know she was alive, tried to reach out to them but her arm wouldn't move, tried to speak, yet she had no voice as she watched a doctor walk into the room looking sad at the couple who cried over her.

" my sincerest apologies Mr and Mrs Crescent,  your daughters condition is not clearing, she is getting worse, if she lasts another month before her heart fails it will be a miracle, donors are scarce and her blood group makes it even harder to come across a heart for her."

She froze as she watched her father break down and nod slowly, still trying to console her mother, before they both stood and left the room she was in.

Luna closed her eyes and woke up yet again, but this time she couldn't see anything, she could hear people talking, yet the voices where strange. Her body hurt, the IV in her arm burnt her. Her whole body felt like it was on fire. But she could only let out a near silent groan.

"The doctors thought she was good as dead with her heart failing when they donated her to me for research. She seems to be doing well though with the Omega cells I have implanted in her, she may just be strong enough to over come it."

"Hmm that is rather an amazing finding Professor, but who is the girl?"

"Her papers said she is Luna Crescent, only a mere eighteen years old, I believe her older sister is transferring here in the next month to work with me. She currently works for Grimoire Valentine as an assistant."

"Does she know of her sisters state?"

" No and it will never come to light even if the girl survives or not, she won't remember a thing. Her vitals after all are stable so she may awaken at anytime in the near or far future."

Soon again her world went black and silent. When she awoke again she was running, running from some horrid beast that chased her...."

Luna woke up with a jolt, tears streaming down her face as she looked around her, her chest rapidly rising and falling as she panted hoarsely. She only calmed when she sensed she was being watched by Vincent even though he didn't immediately show himself.

Letting out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding in she fell back down against her pillows and glanced at the moon. Her night terror was so vivid and she had been having similar ones most of the time.

"Hey, Vincent don't you ever get tired of not sleeping because of me?" She asked in a soft voice.

"No." Came his reply as he moved to an antique couch she had fixed and sat down so she could see him.

"Every time, they are so vivid and I can do nothing in them. I hardly remember much about myself, my family is dead, yet I'm still here, I should be on my death bed if not close but I'm still young and we'll... sometimes I don't even know what or who I am." She admitted quietly.

Vincent remained silent as he watched her from the couch.

"When I found the journal I was so happy that I could start patching together what I had missed, but it's all been so unpleasant. My sister going missing, my mother and father dying in a fire, then her journal telling me of some scientist she fell in love with and their plans to have a child, things about you and I assume your father and how fond she was of both of you." She frowned a small frown as she glanced at the silent man.

"I want to find that man's laboratory he worked in and I want to find out about me and I want to find my sister and just know that she is okay." She sighed out softly when a soft shuffle from the couch caught her attention.

" I can take you, to see your sister if that would help, but I am afraid the laboratory you searching for has long since been destroyed." He watched her face carefully as she looked up at him and nodded slowly.

"Thank you Vincent." She said softly as she lay down and fell asleep yet again.

Vincent sat watching her carefully. He had really loved her sister so deeply, yet every time he looked over at Luna he found himself been drawn closer to her and he wasn't sure if he liked it or not.

"The past is never pleasant..." He mumbled softly to himself as he watched her before moving to her desk and looking over at his old photograph. "Not mine, nor yours..." He spoke as he looked over a picture of a younger Lucrecia and a small, smiling Luna.

He looked over at the journal and ran his fingers over the aged leather cover before picking it up and walking over to the couch with it, curious to what was in it. After all Luna had offered him the chance to read through it when he felt ready on evening when she had made them a small stew to eat for dinner.

He glanced over at her sleeping form then to the book in his lap before opening the aged cover.

'Today I finally started my work as an apprentice under Mr Grimoire Valentine, he is such a kind man with endless knowledge on the world around him. His wife is also a very lovely woman and their son is simply the sweetest little boy ever who dotes on his father.'

' Mr Valentine and I made the discovery of a life time today, though after we discovered the cave he was sadly taken from the world, my heart bleeds for his wife and son, I tried to let our knowledge of chaos materia be known but no one believes me, all our research is laughed at.'

More pages flipped through...

' tomorrow I start work with Professor Hojo,  he believe me, believes what Grimoire and I discovered, I was contacted today about my family, I am so heart broken that they have passed. I was told they found my parents but not my sister. I worry for her, I really hope she is still alive and well..."

"Today Grimoire's son came to the facility, it would turn out that he has been assigned to protect us while we work, I feel so guilty that I knew his father and him as a child, but I cannot tell him just yet. I am still so fond of him, he has grown into a fine young man, I wish my sister could meet him someday, if only I could find her."

"It seems I have developed feelings for Professor Hojo and we have decided to have a child, his name will be decided still by us, I am so excited to be a mother I cannot contain my excitement, how I wish my sister could be here with me to share my joy... Vincent seemed upset today though, he confronted the professor and seemed upset with me when we spoke."

" I wish Vincent wasn't so silent, he keeps to himself mostly but we have grown close , tomorrow I think I should let him know that I worked under his father as an apprentice, I miss Grimoire dearly."

Vincent continued to flip through the pages that seemed to hold every detail of Lucrecia's days, her feelings, her thoughts, her wishes and desires.  He paged until he stopped on one of the last few pages, it was to do with his death and how devastated she was, how she fought to bring him back yet he just wouldn't wake up.

He glanced over the last pages until finally he reached the end of the journal. Nothing was mentioned about what was done to her sister and it seemed she never knew that her own sister had been experimented on and was still alive.

Glancing over at Luna he stood and placed the journal down before leaving her room.

* * *

She glanced at her watch sighing as she walked through the unfamiliar capital. Everything had changed since she was just a young girl. She stopped when she found the heart of the city and smiled a small smile as she looked at all the people who continued with their every day lives as if nothing would change.

Luna had come from far looking for one place specifically in Nibelheim, she looked every bit the outsider that she was, except she looked like an insider everyone once knew. Well, that was to those who cared to remember. A small frown worked it's way onto her face as she glanced around before her eyes settled on a place called Seventh Heaven.

Making up her mind after a small debate with herself she walked across the busy city square towards the place she hoped would be a bar of some kind.

Upon entering the building Luna found it to be lively inside and smiled again as she made her way to the bar, ducking under laughing men's arms and drinks sloshing around in mugs, spilling with each movement made until she arrived at an empty seat at the bar.

That was when a woman with black hair approached her, her friendly smile faltering as she glanced at Luna, who blinked at her innocently.

"Uh, hey there, I'm Tifa,  your a new face,  how may I help you?"

Luna simply nodded and looked over at the bar. "Hmm I guess a glass of juice of some kind if you have please? My name is Luna, nice to meet you." The woman smiled a genuine smile at the bar lady who served her.

As she waited for her juice she pulled out a small map and a journal from her bag as she started looking over what had been written by her only sister who had gone missing many years ago. She sighed as she read through the one page that kept catching her attention, the one about a young man who was hired to protect her. Luna smiled when Tifa handed her, her juice which she quickly paid for before the woman took notice of a photo in the journal. One of a young man with black hair and ivory skin.

Tifa glanced up at Luna and frowned slightly. " I know I don't know you but... why do you have a photo of Vinny?"

Luna snapped the journal shut, shoving it in her bag along with the map as she looked at Tifa. "It's my sisters journal,  she once knew that man, I was told he is around here, I have kind of been looking for him, but I keep getting horribly lost." She admitted which eased the suspicious look that had crossed Tifa's face.

Tifa gave a smile and nodded in thought.  "Well Vinny often comes here to Seventh Heaven, other than that he is always off doing his own thing, no one can really tell you where to look for him but you may get lucky and run into him, may I ask who your sister is?"

Luna nodded and smiled softly. "Lucrecia Crescent. She worked around here with some scientist many years ago when I was still very young, then she went missing."

Tifa stared at the young woman in utter disbelief. No doubt she looked a lot like Lucrecia, but what had happened had taken place many years ago and this women should have been an old lady if she was Lucrecia's younger sister, yet there she sat looking not a day older than twenty one.

Her eyes however held the same kind look Lucrecia's eyes held and where a stunning shade of cerulean. Her facial features where similar as well only a little softer and her hair was a dark chocolate colour. Tifa had dared to think that she was simply more beautiful than her sister who was already a very beautiful woman.

Luna gave another warm smile and finished her juice before thanking Tifa and leaving the bar in silence when she started wondering around the capital again. Luna wasn't sure how long she wondered around for until she came to an abandoned mansion. Curiously she entered walking around until she found a piano in an empty room. She continued to wonder around until she found an old door.

Opening it slowly she shuddered at the cold draft that hit her then braced herself as she slowly wondered down the steps. It wasn't until she reached what seemed to be a basement that she walked into something hard that wasn't there before.

A soft breath escaped the hard thing as she landed on her rear, a startled gasp leaving her lips when a pair of red eyes stared down at her. Those eyes looked so familiar.

"You shouldn't be down here, or near this mansion at all." A deep yet soft voice spoke to her.

"I... I'm looking for someone, he knew my sister once, his name is Vincent...." She answered in a soft voice of her own.

The man before her stared at her, she had noticed his eyes widen slightly as he stared down at the young woman watching as she lifted herself up and dusted herself off.

"It would seem you have found him." He gave his answer as he watched the young girl who followed him up the stairs she had just wondered down.

"Oh? Where?" She asked slightly clueless as she watched his back.

In the light of the main entrance to the mansion both figures froze when their eyes landed on each other.

In Luna's mind it was no doubt the man from the picture in the journal her sister had left. Though he remained unchanged. Luna watched him carefully trying to gauge his reaction as she took in every detail of how he looked.

"You... who are you?" His voice snapped her from her though as she glanced up at him.

"I'm Luna Crescent. I'm Lucrecia's younger sister, you look just like him..." She wondered as she studied him more carefully. His hair was longer than in the photo, but it was unmistakably him. Sliding the journal out from her back pack she pulled out the aged photograph and showed it to him.

His eyes widened as he glanced at the picture of himself, then his attention returned to the girl and the journal in her hand. "Is that?"

She smiled and nodded, "Yes it's her journal, it's pretty much all that she left for me, though it doesn't answer half of the questions I wanted to ask her, so I was hoping maybe you would help me..." She looked up at him, eyes hopeful as he shook his head.

Vincent was not ready to delve into his past with a stranger, even if it was his beloved ones sister. He looked up at the mansions ancient ceiling and sighed before glancing back down at her crest fallen expression.

But she did not push him for information, as a sigh left her very own lips. "I guess it was true when she wrote that you mostly kept to yourself." With that he watched as she looked back up at him and gave a small wavering smile. "Thank you, for speaking with me as you have, I appreciate been able to meet someone who knew Lucrecia." She smiled again and looked around her turning towards another staircase to look for a room she could use when Vincent followed her silently.

"Well I guess this room will do."  She gave a small smile as she set to work salvaging what she could to use, mainly a bed, a chair and a desk, unaware of the man who followed her.
